Regulators are reviewing a plan that would allow US traders to access perpetual futures, a popular type of crypto investment that does not have an expiration date. Hyperliquid named Kraken's parent company as the first intended user of this new setup, which would involve oversight from the CFTC, the agency that regulates US commodity and futures markets.
This is a meaningful step for the digital asset industry, which has long been restricted by US rules.
