The company finalized a planned leadership change on August 6, with Peter Eames taking over as president and CEO. Daniel Baker, who previously held those roles, retired from day-to-day operations but will remain with the company as chairman of the board.
This transition was part of a succession plan the company set up earlier this year. While a change at the top is always worth watching, this was an orderly handover rather than a sudden exit. The board also expanded from five to seven members with the addition of Eames and new director Carolyn Valentine, which adds more oversight as the company tries to grow its sensor business in robotics and medical markets.
